Open Letter to Government

PS. I want to share the following with you because of your position in local government. 
In case you are unaware of where the Bible does stand on some very contentious issues which the government is violating. Here are some verses on some current hot topics. (Added later - the list below has become lengthy, but these are verses God put on my heart this morning as I typed this email to you.)
 
As a preacher, I must preach the following no matter what the Government says. God, not government, is the One to whom every man must give an account.
 
Sadly, many churches are lying to people because they desire to please men not God. God’s Word is very clear on ALL of the following. This is not a question of interpretation. It’s a question of the integrity of those who present themselves as God’s ministers.
 
I need to share this with all our local officials because they will answer to God for how they participate for Him or against Him. If you ever have a question about what the Bible teaches, please let me know. God has blessed me with a good understanding of His Word. Please feel free to share this in any forum. 
 
I’m not afraid of being accused of a hate crime or concerned about what people think about me. I’d rather please God and help people by giving them the truth  than to please men and lie to them in the name of God. (Jeremiah 29:8  For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. 9  For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.)
 
Creation as a direct act of God (not evolution):
Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
John 1:Joh 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Genesis 1:21  And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:25  And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 6:20  Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
Genesis 7:14  They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
Colossians 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
 
God as Law Giver:
Deuteronomy 4:35  Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
Exodus 20:1  And God spake all these words, saying,
2  I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:….
Illustration: Man can not change God’s law even if they agree together to do so. Proverbs 11:21  Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: 
 
The authority and unchangeability of God’s Word:
2 Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Matthew 5:18  For verily I (Jesus) say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle (explanation: smallest diacritical markings in the Hebrew OT text) shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Psalm 119:89  For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Psalm 12:6  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
 
Gender identity as assigned by God:
Genesis 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 2:22  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Genesis 17:10  This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
 
Marriage between one man and one woman for life:
Genesis 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Hebrews 13:4  Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Matthew 19:6  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Romans 7:2  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Romans 7:3  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
 
Abortion and the life of a child in the womb:
Jeremiah 1:5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Galatians 1:15  But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
Exodus 21:22  If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
Psalm 139:16  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Luke 2:5  To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great (pregnant) with child.
 
Sexual perversion:
Leveticus 18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Romans 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (explanation: sexual disease)
28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
 
Transgenderism:
Deuteronomy 22:5  The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
1 Corinthians 6:9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
note: “Effeminate" - Webster's dictionary -  : having feminine qualities untypical of a man : not manly in appearance or manner.
"Abusers of themselves with mankind” is a Sodomite.
explanation: Please observe in verse 11 that these lifestyle sins (and the other listed sinful lifestyles) can be forgiven by God’s grace if the person repents and accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
 
Fornication: (ie. “partners" living together)
Hebrews 13:4  Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
2 Corinthians 12:21  And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
 
The coming judgment of God upon all men:
Matthew 12:36  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Revelations 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Revelation 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Hebrews 10:31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
 
Exclusivity of Jesus and God’s Word as the only true faith:
John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Exodus 20:3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
 
Gender Leadership Positions:
In the family:
Ephesians 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
18  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19  Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20  Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
In the church:
1 Timothy 3:1  This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2  A bishop (pastor/ overseer) then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3  Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4  One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5  (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
 
Loving physical discipline of children:
Proverbs 22:15  Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Proverbs 23:13  Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Proverbs 23:14  Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Proverbs 29:15  The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
note: The Bible forbids physical and verbal abuse. 
Ephesians 6:4  And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Colossians 3:21  Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
illustration: God lovingly disciplines every person who becomes His child.
Hebrews 1:5  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards (explanation - not His child), and not sons.
9  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
 
Submission to civil government EXCEPT when government commands disobedience to God:
1 Peter 2:13  Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
Mark 12:17  And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. 
Acts 4:18  And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19  But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
Acts 5:28  Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
29  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Paul and the Apostles:  They were put into prison, whipped, stoned, martyred for obeying God rather than men. (Book of Acts)
 
CONCLUSION: Although sinful men can not change God’s law, God is willing to help change sinners if they will submit to his law.
The sacrificial love of God for all men.
Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
 
The mercy of God for all who desire God’s forgiveness.
Proverbs 28:13  He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Isaiah 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
1 John 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
 
Salvation from sin and punishment by faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Acts 16:31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
The following letter was a post script at the end of an email written to a friend of mine who is in local government. I feel it is important to openly share this with our community as we are living in dangerous times. To that end, I am posting it online and seeking to get it out to our community. 
 
There is a great attack against God and His Word. We can either fear men and be silent. Or, we can fear God and lovingly declare the truth of God's Word.
 
The Word of God speaks for itself. You won't find my thoughts below. But, you will find the very words of God. Our world is speaking openly about the controversial topics below. I hope none will think it right to censure God and His Word on the same issues. He is the authority on all questions regarding these delicate truths.

Loving physical discipline of children:
Proverbs 22:15  Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Proverbs 23:13-14  Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Proverbs 29:15  The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
note: The Bible forbids physical and verbal abuse. 
Ephesians 6:4  And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Colossians 3:21  Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

Hebrews 1:5-9  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards (explanation - not His child), and not sons.  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
 
Submission to civil government EXCEPT for when the government commands disobedience to God:
1 Peter 2:13  Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
Mark 12:17  And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. 
Acts 4:18-20  And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.  But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
Acts 5:28-29  Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

CONCLUSION: Although sinful men can not change God’s law, God is willing to help change sinners if they will submit to his law.
The sacrificial love of God for all men.
Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The mercy of God for all who desire God’s forgiveness.
Proverbs 28:13  He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Isaiah 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
1 John 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
 
Salvation from sin and sin's punishment by faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9-10  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Acts 16:31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
